Pearson fined $1m by SEC for misleading investors about cyber breach

Pearson has been fined $1m by the US Securities and Exchange Commission for misleading investors about a 2018 cyber intrusion involving the theft of millions of student records, including dates of births and email addresses, from 13,000 school, district and university customer accounts.
