Education market conditions remained generally weak in developed markets and stronger in emerging markets, according to Pearson’s latest interim management statement for the first three months of FY12. In North America, Pearson reports that in the first quarter the company benefited from later second semester purchasing in HE and good growth in digital but K12 markets remained weak due to ongoing uncertainty around funding and the timing of curriculum change.
