Promethean’s CEO Stephen Jury has been promoted to Vice Chairman. The new CEO is Jean-Yves Charlier, former Managing Director of funds management company Fidelity. Getting a senior executive like Charlier to relocate is always difficult, but more so when the company in question is located in Blackburn. Apax Partners invested in Promethean in 2004 and in July funds advised by Apax also took a significant minority position in Promethean’s main competitor SMART Technologies.
