Alta Systems’ maths software for students aged 4-14 is going to be available to all schools in Northern Ireland from September via the Northern Ireland Classroom 2000 Schools network.
In developing this package, Alta (owned by their management and QUBIS) have worked closely with the Council for Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment (CCEA) particularly in relation to formative assessment aspects of the product.
The maths software market seems to be shifting rapidly towards personalisation and continuous formative assessment and we suspect that Alta’s software will compete directly with products like Mathletics.
