Building Schools for the Future Investments (BSFI), the central investment business of BSF has appointed Professor Tony Ridley as its independent non-executive Chairman.
Sometimes the whole BSF programme looks over-complicated but BSFI is a joint venture between the DCSF and Partnerships UK which invests in each Local Education Partnership (LEP) along with the Local Authority and the private sector. Ridley will chair both BSFI’s Management Board and Investment Committee. A former head of the Civil Engineering department at Imperial College, Ridley has also held board level positions with London Transport and Eurotunnel and was the Senior Transport Advisor for the London 2012 Olympic bid.
