At £45bn, BSF is a big programme and so you would assume the key players would be handsomely renumerated. Little did we suspect how well. A recent advertisement for Tim Byles’ Executive Assistant is paying £50-60k, plus a bonus and benefits! If they can afford to pay the admin staff, no matter how senior, this amount, what might Byles be paid? His predecessor was on £200k. We couldn’t make it to P4S’s third annual conference this month, or we might have asked.
