The DfES isn’t renowned for its internal or external communications. Thankfully they gave the contract to produce Teachers magazine (primary and secondary editions) to John Brown Citrus Publishing. At the 2006 Association of Publishing Agencies Awards, Teachers, (combined circulation of 350,000) won the prize for Most Effective Internal Communication.

Teachers is a very good publication and hopefully this award will spur the DfES to improve their external communications; we have given up hope on ever getting a response from their press office.
