If 3i’s £500m bid for Enterprise succeed they will also gain control of the education subsidiary Enterprise MPC. 3i’s Chief Executive Philip Yea said recently that he wanted the company to significantly increase its exposure to infrastructure investments and is considering setting up a separate infrastructure fund.
