There have been two interesting developments at Teacher’s TV. One was when Ipaos MORI reported that the channel had a drop in audience reach in June. This was directly attributed to Sky, who moved the channel’s position in their Electronic Programming Guide (EPG). TTV have already failed in their complaint to OFCOM about the move and yet while the reach has supposedly diminished, the number of visitors hit a new peak (148,887) and the number of programmes downloaded exceeded 250,000.
Whether Ipsos MORI hold onto their contract with TTV seems questionable because at the last board meeting ABC Electronic (ABCe) were invited to discuss how they would audit TTV’s website traffic and video/audio streams. What makes it even less likely is that Education Digital (Ten Alps, ITV and the Institute for Education) has established a formal collaborative relationship with ABCe.
