News Corp still chase students and parents as readers, just not of the TES

While News Corporation may have sold the TES, they obviously still want to appeal to parents and their children as a good core audience, otherwise why would they be giving away £15k (£3k x 5) of tertiary scholarships?
 
Applicants have to register online (how easy is it to build an opt-in database) and to have a valid UCAS acceptance code for a course starting this month. We rather like the fact that instead of making this a game of skill, or basing it on A-Level results, The Times have decided that winners will be selected on nothing more than blind luck, or to use their wording, ‘at random’.
