The Training and Development Agency for Schools (TDA) invites potential bidders, interested in setting up and operating its Teaching Information Line (TIL) service, to complete a pre-qualification questionnaire.
The TIL service assists the TDA in achieving one of its key objectives: to enable schools to recruit good quality newly qualified teachers, by increasing applications to initial teacher training (ITT).
The service registers and answers enquiries form potential teachers, responding to the TDA’s advertising campaign; it will provide tailored and accurate information about teaching and teacher training, encouraging enquirers to apply for ITT.
The successful contractor will also maintain a relational database, logging the profiles of all enquirers to TIL and providing the TDA and service stakeholders with a wide range of reporting and analysis.
TIL will play an important role in ensuring that the TDA meets its recruitment targets and in assisting schools to fill their vacancies. It will do this by helping those who make contact to identify and apply for their most appropriate route in initial teacher training.
The contract will be awarded for four years with a one year option to extend.
