Nord Anglia update
In a recent trading update Nord Anglia (NA) expressed disappointment at not winning any BSF work (just like Kier). Similarly glum was the outlook for the nurseries division with five centres due to close at the end of this month. On the bright side their International Schools Division led by Ros Marshall has done well in both China and South Korea. The management team has also been slightly reshuffled since Ros Marshall was appointed as Chief Operating Officer with Jonathan Garnett now becoming Managing Director of Learning Services and Linda Kidd becoming Managing Director of the Nurseries Division following the departure of Simon Cashmore.
While the release was issued under the aegis of Andrew Fitzgerald as Nord Anglia’s Chief Executive, there was pointedly no mention about him or his role. It certainly looks like Ros Marshall is already the de-facto CEO, which raises the question, is Fitzgerald on the way out and has this anything to do with Brian Myerson’s Principle Capital Partners 24% shareholding? Watch this space.
