Online tertiary recruitment site Milk Round is for sale. As we go to press a decision has yet to be announced by the owner’s advisors Close Brothers. However it looks a tempting target for several media groups including News Corp, Pearson, Trinity Mirror and the Daily Mail and General Trust.
Rumours of a £20m price tag have been floating around in the media for several weeks. Trying to arrive at an objective valuation is almost impossible as there seems to be something of a mini dot-com bubble occurring right now. While a sale to a large media group seems the most likely outcome, we also think there is a small chance that a private equity outfit or a specialist media group could put in the winning bid.
