Are Discovery heading to Europe?

Speculation is mounting that Discovery are about to start a big push into the UK and European education markets. The evidence so far is:


  • Last year EdComs beat McKinsey to undertake a large research project for Discovery

  • Hanover Fox have been advertising for a Regional Sales Director, DVD and e-Learning, for a Global Channel Network and Content Provider.

  • One of Discovery’s key new products is United Streaming and part of the job spec talks about streamed video-on-demand to schools.


Add all these up and the answer isn’t Espresso or Pearson, which pretty much means the only possible candidate is Discovery. We’ll keep you posted.
