Speculation over the sale of ITV’s education business Granada Learning is reaching fever pitch. Some of the well-known brands in the Granada stable include BlackCat Software, Letts Educational and assessment business nfer Nelson.
The London office of the specialist media mergers and acquisitions agency van Tulleken is brokering the sale. van Tulleken previously managed the sale of Letts Educational from FTSE listed BPP Holdings to Granada Media. Granada Learning’s various subsidiaries would fit well inside Pearson Education particularly nfer Nelson, as this would compliment Person’s joint venture with UK exam board Edexcel and their US educational testing and assessment businesses.
