Will allowing schools to opt out of LEA control impact upon the Building Schools for the Future (BSF) programme? So far there is no clear answer, but the whole idea behind BSF was to allow developers, LEAs and other bodies to work with larger numbers of schools in Local Education Partnerships (LEPs). If schools can opt out of LEA control it may make building successful LEPs much more difficult.
