Academy Schools

The government has committed itself to a review of the Academy Schools programme although various spokespeople have been at pains to say that this is not as a result a recent negative OFSTED report for Unity City Academy and problems at West London Academy.
However, problems at these two schools plus the recent withdrawal of the charity ARK to establish an Academy in Islington and problems over an Academy in Milton Keynes, to be sponsored by GEMS , have combined to create testing times for the government’s flagship education programme.
