Tutoring company Kumon is recruiting two new Area Managers to be based in North London. With 48,000 students paying a minimum of £45 per month for a single subject, the company’s franchise network must have a minimum gross monthly income of £2.16m. When you add registration fees (£15) and that two subjects (maths and English) cost £85 per month, then the actual income is likely to be closer to £3m per month. Even so, this represents a tiny fraction of what UK parents spend in this market each month.
