At the DfES, former Director of Communications Michael Stevenson has shifted jobs and is now the Head of Technology. His specific remit will be to move forward the area of e-Strategy while also managing the Information Policy, Learning Technology and Strategy & Performance units. Before joining the DfES Mr Stevenson was in change of the BBC’s Digital Curriculum (now BBC jam).

His old position as Director of Communications is now being advertised and interested applicants should contact Patrick Johnson at Russell Reynolds Associates. The post reports directly to the new Permanent Secretary of the DfES David Bell who was formerly head of the educational inspection agency OFSTED.
